Recognizing Anxiety in Children
Anxiety in children aged 8-12 often shows up in ways that might seem like behavioral challenges. Kids may avoid certain activities, feel overwhelmed by worry or fear, or have trouble accepting comfort from others. They might struggle to focus, feel extra self-conscious, or even refuse to go to school. Some children also experience poor impulse control, panic attacks, sleep issues, or physical symptoms like stomachaches. These signs can be tough to spot, but with the right support, children can learn to manage their anxiety in healthy ways.
