Chelsey is able to provide a comprehensive assessment to evaluate the psychological impact by your work as a first responder and veteran. This assessment allows you to gain the support and compensation you are entitled to after sustaining psychological impact from your service. To book an assessment with Chelsey, you must do the following:
1. Contact Veteran Affairs Canada and apply for mental health benefits. You will obtain a document called "Medical Questionnaire" that needs to be completed by a psychologist following a comprehensive assessment.
2. Book a 15 minute consultation (free) with Chelsey to ensure that she is the right person for your case and that you have the documentation required.
3. Book your assessment (typically 4 hours to allow for a clinical interview and formal assessment measures to be used).
4. A comprehensive report will be written and submitted to Veteran Affairs Canada on your behalf. All billing occurs directly with them.

What is ADHD and how do I know if I require an assessment?

ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects individuals of all ages. It is characterized by symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that can significantly impact an individual's daily life. An important criteria of ADHD is that it has been impacting your life for an extended period of time (before the age of 12) and perhaps without awareness that ADHD might have been the cause.

Adults with ADHD may have difficulty focusing on tasks, completing work, or following instructions. They may also struggle with time management, organization, and may act impulsively without considering the consequences of their actions.

ADHD is a complex disorder that can affect an individual's occupational, social, and emotional functioning. However, with proper diagnosis and treatment, individuals with ADHD can learn to manage their symptoms and find significant improvement in their day-to-day lives.

An ADHD assessment with Chelsey includes a comprehensive interview that covers your medical history, learning history, and symptoms. Following this interview, you will be asked to complete a series of questionnaires. After completing this portion, Chelsey will prepare a comprehensive report. Once the report is ready, a feedback meeting will be booked to review the results and you will receive a copy of the the comprehensive written report that can help with treatment planning.
